Emily's Bedroom Door

I'm not much for football especially if it doesn't involve the Bills, so I made this for my daughter's bedroom door today. I really liked the way this project turned out. I had bought this with no particular use in mind but my daughter had other ideas, she loves to look through all my cartridges and find things for me to do.

This is the sign I bought at Hobby Lobby. I love finding things there that I can play with.

Emily found the Effiel tower on the Wall Decor and More Cartridge and I made some adjustments with my Design Studio, I also used SCALs for her name. I don't remember which font I used though.

I hung this on her door, she'll be surprised when she gets home today to see the finished product. I know she'll love it, it goes great with the rest of her room.

Nemo Frame

When Cricut came out with the new Disney cartridges I knew I just had to have them, I absolutely love everything Disney!! Finding Nemo is on the Disney Best of Pixar cartridge and I love it!

I started out with this 5x7 chipboard frame that I found at Michael's. I used FolkArt True Blue acrylic paint and painted the whole frame I think I did it twice.

My mess in progress. I cut all the images out on my Cricut and glued them all together. I cut out the seaweed @ 8", the bubbles @ 6" and the sand @ 2" and layered all those with pop dot for some dimension. I cut all the Nemo parts out @ 5" and put him together, now I must admit I have never done one of the charater cut before and have been a little scared to try but it was actually pretty easy to figure out and really didn't take that long to put together. The treasure chest I believe I cut @ 3 1/2".

My Nemo, he's just to darn cute for words!

Ta-da!!! I really liked the way this frame turned out. I left the top open to add a name (whenever I figure out who it for), but it needed to be made. I'm glad I got over my "fear" of these characters, it really was a lot of fun to do. I'm thinking Bambi maybe next.

So Excited!

Today is a big day in my house, not only have I been married to my wonderful husband Michael for 14 years, but it is also my beautiful daughter Emily's 12th birthday. So it only seems fitting to choose today to enter the world of blogging.

I don't know if I'm more excited to have my first post or that I was able to create this blog for myself.  I love to do all things crafty and inspire others to do the same. My hope for this blog is for you and I to just have a LOT OF FUN!
